Skin cancer diagnosis and management

Prevention

UV radiation can damage human skin, and potentially cause skin cancer. This occurs more frequently in fairer skin types. UV levels peak at midday each day. In summer, the peak UV radiation is more than four times stronger than in winter. Track UV levels using the SunSmart App and protect your skin when the UV is 3 or higher.

Detection

Schedule regular appointments for a thorough examination of your entire body (while wearing underwear). Your comfort is our top priority. We book long appointments (30 minutes) for every full body skin check. Most patients attend annually, but some may need more or less frequent visits based on their risk level.

Treatment

We provide various treatments for skin cancers. Depending on the type, depth and location of cancer, treatments may include medicated creams, cryotherapy (freezing), or excision (surgical removal). If required (and at your request) we can refer to other doctors for any appropriate treatments.

Collaboration

We believe in working together with other healthcare professionals throughout your skin cancer journey. From initial diagnosis, through to treatment, and follow-up, we strive to collaborate with other doctors, wherever it may benefit you.
